Putin considers Russians and Ukrainians one people

Despite the ongoing almost daily bombing of Ukrainian cities, during which dozens of civilians are killed and injured, Russian President Vladimir Putin considers Russians and Ukrainians one people. “I have already said that I consider the Russian and Ukrainian people to be one people. In this sense, the whole of Ukraine is ours,” he said during a speech at the international economic forum in St. Petersburg (SPIEF).

Putin also reported on the alleged old rule, according to which, in his opinion, the captured by the Russian army becomes the property of Moscow: “You know, we have an old rule: where the foot of the Russian soldier is on, then ours.”
