How to Optimise Website and Ad to Increase Revenue


Cara optimasi iklan pada website atau blog sudah lama saya pelajari secara otodidak, alhamdulillah baru-baru ini mendapatkan kesempatan secara langsung untuk berdiskusi dengan Tim Google Asia Pacific di Singapore. Banyak ilmu baru yang saya dapatkan. Berikut adalah tip yang direkomendasikan oleh Google untuk meningkatkan revenue dari pendapatkan iklan.

Langkah pertama adalah membuat website cepat diakses oleh pengguna, tool yang dapat digunakan adalah PageSpeed Insights. Hanya dengan memasukkan alamat URL kita, kita akan memperoleh skor kecepatan akses untuk desktop maupun mobile serta apa yang perlu dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kecepatan akses website tersebut.

Langkah kedua adalah memastikan bahwa website sudah mobile friendly, karena Search Engine Google akan lebih memprioritaskan menampilkan hasil pencarian untuk website yang sudah mobile friendly. Untuk mengetahui website sudah ready for mobile dapat menggunakan tool Mobile-Friendly Test.

Langkah ketiga, pakailah ukuran iklan yang sudah terbukti memberikan revenue yang baik. Berdasarkan analisa data, Google mengeluarkan ukuran yang direkomendasikan untuk desktop yaitu 300x250, 336x280, 300x600, 728x90. Sedangkan untuk mobile ukuran iklan yang disarankan adalah 320x100.

Langkah keempat, taruhlah iklan pada posisi yang menghasilkan Click through Rate (CTR) yang tinggi yaitu
  • Above the fold
  • Embedded in content
  • Break up large sections of text
  • Near navigation, but not where dropdown could cover the ad

Langkah kelima, meningkatkan coverage ad dengan cara memperbanyak jumlah iklan dalam satu page (maksimum 3 iklan) dan menambah fungsi Google Search yang hasilnya akan menampilkan list text ad juga. 

Itulah langkah-langkah optimasi yang direkomendasikan oleh Google untuk meningkatkan revenue dari iklan di website atau blog, silahkan dicoba dan semoga bermanfaat.
