MedanBisnis –Medan. Kasus aborsi (kehamilan yang tidak diinginkan) di Medan masih tinggi. Hasil survei Yayasan Kesehatan Perempuan tahun 2010 menemukan sebanyak 1.446 kasus di Kota Medan. Selain di Medan, juga ditemukan di delapan kota besar lainnya seperti Batam, Jakarta, Bandung, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Denpasar, Mataram dan Manado.
Hal itu dikatakan Kepala Divisi Akses dan Layanan Perkumpulan Keluarga Berenana Indonesia (PKBI) Pusat dr Maya Trisiswati Ch di hotel Dharma Deli Medan, Selasa (24/5). "Walaupun aborsi dilarang UU KUHP maupun fatwa MUI/Majelis Tarjih Muhammadiyah, namun angka aborsi
termasuk tinggi di Indonesia. Lebih kurang secara nasional kasusnya di temukan 2,5 juta per tahun.

 Persentase pada tahun 2010, usia melakukan aborsi, yakni, usia 30 tahun sebesar 58%, usia antara 20-30 tahun sebesar 39%, usia dibawah 20 tahun sebasar 3%. Yang berstatus menikah 87% dan belum menikah 12%. Status ibu rumah tangga 48%, bekerja 43%, pelajar 7%," ungkapnya.

Menurutnya, tindakan aborsi aman yang ditemukan hanya sebesar 0,6% dari 100.000 kasus. Sedangkan aborsi yang tidak aman sebesar 10-50% alami komplikasi.

Artinya, dari kasus aborsi tidak aman, sebanyak 13% dari angka kematian ibu dan anak dan 60%  kasus ditemukan dinegara berkembang.

Disebutkan, seseorang yang tidak menginginkan kelahiran bayinya dengan meminum jamu-jamuan, pergi ke dukun, dan minum obat-obatan sebelum mendatangi klinik. "Hampir separuhnya atau sebesar 47% tindakan aborsi dilakukan ibu rumah tangga.

Diantaranya bekerja di perusahaan swasta  dan pegawai negeri sipil," katanya.

Alasan  melakukan aborsi banyak faktor, yakni, gagal karena KB, ibu sakit fisik dan jiwa berat, bapak sakit jiwa berat, akibat perkosaan, kehamilan incest, ekonomi, risiko kesehatan ibu, janin cacat genetik, hamil diluar nikah, usia ibu terlalu tua atau terlalu muda dan ibu sedang masa pendidikan.

"Dampak akibat aborsi tidak aman, dapat mengakibatkan, pendarahan, infeksi, keganasan, gagal ginjal, bacterial shock, demam, nyeri panggul kronis dan kemandulan," jelasnya. (zahendra)
